Safety Information

In order to ensure the safety and security of attendees of the 2024 Rainbow Prom, the following rules are in place:

1. No weapons of any kind will be allowed on premises. The facility itself specifically forbids firearms anywhere on the premises. 

2. No alcohol, tobacco, or drugs will be allowed at the event. This includes cannabis or any cannabis derived product, as attendees will not be of legal age to consume them. If prescription medication is required during the time of the event, parents must notify event staff for an exception.

3. All DougCo Pride staff and volunteers supervising this event must pass a background check.

4. Only high school aged teens will be allowed to attend, ages 14-19.

5. Attendees will be limited to small, clear bags. No backpacks or large bags allowed. 

6. Attendees will not be allowed to re-enter once they leave the event.

7. This event is for teens in the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. This is to be a safe space. No protests or any anti-LGBTQIA+ activities will be permitted on premises. Anyone attempting to violate this safe space will be escorted out immediately and turned over to law enforcement should they continue to trespass. 

 

DougCo Pride strives to create a safe and welcoming space for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. The Pride Prom is an opportunity for teens in this community to gather and have their prom in that safe space. The safety and well-being of all students attending this event is our top priority. With your help and cooperation we will provide a fun, safe, and happy event which these students will remember and cherish.
