PrideFest Code of Conduct
2026 DOUGLAS COUNTY PRIDEFEST
CODE OF CONDUCT AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Douglas County PrideFest is a permitted event hosted by Douglas County Pride. By registering for or entering PrideFest, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.

PrideFest exists to celebrate and affirm LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and allies in a safe, family-friendly environment. We proudly welcome community partners of all backgrounds — including affirming faith communities — who support the dignity, safety, and equality of LGBTQIA+ people.

Douglas County Pride reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual whose conduct violates this Code of Conduct, interferes with the permitted purpose of the event, or compromises the safety or experience of attendees.

Respectful & Non-Disruptive Conduct
All attendees must conduct themselves in a respectful, non-disruptive manner.
Prohibited conduct includes:

Harassment, intimidation, or targeting of attendees, volunteers, performers, or vendors.

Disrupting performances, speakers, or scheduled programming.
-
Blocking views of performances or obstructing walkways, booths, or stages.
-
Following individuals for the purpose of confrontation, surveillance, or intimidation.
-
Engaging in conduct intended to undermine, counter-program, or materially interfere with the event’s celebratory and affirming purpose.
Attire, signage, or materials used as part of disruptive, intimidating, or confrontational conduct may result in removal.

Protests & Designated Areas
Douglas County PrideFest operates under a permitted event footprint.

No protests, demonstrations, or counter-programming activities are permitted within the event grounds or parking areas designated for attendees.

A designated protest area is available outside the permitted event boundaries.

A separate parking area for protestors has been identified to ensure safety and separation from event operations.
All protest activity must remain in those designated areas and comply with local law enforcement guidance.

Faith Expression and Religious Activity
PrideFest welcomes affirming faith communities and religious organizations that support LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Personal expressions of faith are permitted.
However, within the event footprint:

Organized religious services directed at event attendees are not permitted.

Proselytizing directed at individuals without invitation is not permitted.

Distribution of materials opposing LGBTQIA+ identities or the purpose of the event is not permitted.

Conduct that uses religious messaging as a form of disruption or confrontation is prohibited.
Individuals seeking to demonstrate, counter-message, or organize religious protest activity must do so in designated protest areas outside the event boundaries

Photography, Recording & Surveillance
To protect attendee privacy and safety:

No recording or photography of individuals without consent.

No photographing minors, booths, performers, or attendees for purposes of harassment, surveillance, or intimidation.

No use of dedicated recording equipment.

Cell phones may not be used for targeted or confrontational recording.
Douglas County Pride reserves the right to require cessation of recording activity and removal of individuals engaged in intimidating or surveillance-based recording.

Youth Area & Minor Protection

Youth-designated areas are limited to minors, their parents/guardians, and authorized PrideFest staff.

Unauthorized adults in youth spaces will be removed.
-
Any intimidating, disruptive, or inappropriate conduct directed toward minors will result in immediate removal and possible law enforcement referral.

Weapons & Dangerous Items

No firearms, knives, explosives, or weapons of any kind.
-
No exceptions for concealed carry permit holders.
-
Bags and containers are subject to search.
-
Small multi-tools permitted only for authorized volunteers/vendors during setup and tear-down.

Alcohol, Drugs & Intoxication
-
No illegal drugs or cannabis (CBD without THC permitted).
-
Alcohol may not leave the designated alcohol areas.
-
Visibly intoxicated individuals may be denied service and/or removed.

Safety & Event Operations
-
No blocking entrances, exits, stages, booths, or emergency routes.
-
No bicycles, scooters, skateboards, or wheeled devices (except accessibility devices).
-
No coolers or large backpacks (except for vendors/volunteers as authorized).
-
No outside food (except for vendors/volunteers as authorized).
-
Only water and essential liquids permitted.

Dress & Public Decorum
PrideFest is an all-ages event.

No nudity or attire that violates Colorado or Douglas County public indecency laws.
-
No attire used as part of targeted harassment, intimidation, or disruption.

Compliance With Event Staff & Law Enforcement
All attendees must comply with instructions from:

PrideFest staff.
-
PrideFest security personnel.
-
The Parker Police Department.
-
Emergency personnel.
Failure to comply with lawful instructions may result in removal and possible citation or arrest.

Enforcement & Removal
Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in:
-
Denial of entry.
-
Immediate removal from the event.
-
Revocation of registration.
-
Prohibition from future PrideFest events.
-
Referral to law enforcement.
Removal decisions are made at the discretion of Douglas County Pride and its authorized representatives.
Douglas County PrideFest security personnel and Parker Police officers act within their lawful authority to enforce event rules, maintain public safety, and address violations. Individuals who refuse to leave when directed may be subject to trespass enforcement under applicable law.
