ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Cultivate and manage volunteers to support programming and operational goals. Initiate recruitment strategies. Provide guidance through onboarding and care during a volunteer’s tenure to cultivate engagement and ensure a rewarding volunteer experience.

This is a working board. There is no paid staff. This role will help build the organization and be responsible for some day-to-day operations.

The mission of Douglas County Pride is to build a supportive community for LGBTQIA+ residents of Douglas County and surrounding areas. We do this through community building, advocacy, and service.

To transform Douglas County into a diverse and inclusive community for LGBTQIA+ people of all identities, where everyone feels seen, heard, and that they belong.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience with people leadership and management

Effective communication: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner

Computers and Technology: Google Docs & Sheets, database concepts

Reside in Douglas County Pride’s service area
-
Demonstrated support of the LGBTQIA+ community
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Social media skills
-
Prior experience with data collection, data integrity, and analysis

Prior experience with non-profit organizations
-
Prior experience with volunteer programs at non-profit organizations
-
Knowledge of the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
